HOV and Research Vessel, including the HOV Shenhaiyongshi (delivered in November 2017), the HOV Fendouzhe (full-ocean-depth HOV, March 2021), and the support research vessels R/V TAN SUO YI HAO (May 2016) and R/V TAN SUO ER HAO (June 2020). Beyond conventional scientific research applications, HOV and Research Vessel provide services for instrument and equipment sea trials, deep-sea search and salvage, deep-sea archaeology, marine geological disaster investigations, deepwater oil and gas engineering, and special mission operations. The project legal entity is the Institute of Deep-sea Science and Engineering, with the construction location in Sanya City, Hainan Province.
