To better respond to national needs for marine scientific research and investigation,further enhance the opening and sharing of ship-time on IOCAS research vessels,and maximize the operational efficiency of scientific investigation resources,applications are now open for 2026 ship-time. Details are as follows:
1.Application Schedule: Applications for 2026 ship-time are divided into three rounds. Early application is advantageous for scheduling.
oFirst Round: August 19 - September 21,2025.
oSecond Round (Supplemental application): December 1 - December 31,2025.
oThird Round (Adjustment Application): February 1 - February 28,2026.
oNote: Cruises scheduled for execution between January and March 2027 should be applied for within the 2026 application cycle.

3.Vessel,Equipment & Past Cruise Information: Information regarding research vessels,onboard scientific equipment,and records of previous cruises is available. Please inquire via phone or email,or consult the relevant vessel websites and the websites of the vessel operation management units.
4.Review and Feedback: IOCAS will coordinate ship-time applications with vessel maintenance requirements and scientific equipment servicing needs. Applicants will be promptly notified regarding the status of their application,cruise plans,and any schedule adjustments.
