On September 15, the 500-millimeter-aperture laser communication ground system, independently developed by the Chinese Remote Sensing Satellite Ground Station, was successfully deployed on the Pamir Plateau. This marks the official completion and entry into regular operation of China's first operational laser communication ground station for satellite-to-ground communication. The establishment of this station has successfully integrated the entire business process of satellite-to-ground laser communication, further advancing the engineering application of satellite-to-ground laser communication. It is expected to address the bottleneck issue of insufficient satellite-to-ground transmission bandwidth in China through a combination of "microwave + laser" technologies. This achievement has been widely reported by domestic mainstream media, including CCTV.
