HEPS will commence official operation planned in June 2026. We are now calling for the first round of General Proposals from users worldwide. The deadline for this round of applications is April 30, 2026. Approved proposals will be valid for two years.
We welcome and encourage all users to submit your proposals actively!
1. All beamlines are accepting proposals. For detailed introductions to each beamline, please visit the HEPS webpage: Beamline--High Energy Photon Source.
2. For instructions on proposal application, beamtime reservation, visit request, and acknowledgments, please refer to the attached HEPS User Manual or visit the HEPS webpage: User & Science--High Energy Photon Source.

Note:
l ID08-Pink Beam SAXS Beamline: The transmission mode will be open in the early stage; grazing incidence mode is still under improvement and will be made available at a later stage.
l ID09-Hard X-ray Coherent Scattering Beamline: Only ptychography-tomo, SAXS XPCS, and WAXS XPCS are open for now; ptycho-fluorescence mode, ptycho-spectroscopy mode, BCDI, etc., are not yet available.
l ID19-Hard X-Ray Nanoprobe Multimodal Imaging Beamline: Only 2D XRF mapping, XRD mapping, and 2D ptychography are available.
l ID21-Hard X-Ray Imaging Beamline: Hard X-ray phase-contrast imaging and CT are available; The diffraction contrast CT method is currently under commissioning and is not yet open for users.
l ID46-X-ray Absorption Spectroscopy Beamline: (1) Switching between Si(111) (7–23 keV) and Si(311) (15–46 keV) modes is not available now, please submit proposals by energy range. (2) Microfocus mode (μXRF/μXANES) and fast-scanning mode (100ms QXAFS) are currently under debugging.
