On April 23, the National Primate Facility held its second 2025 user academic exchange at KIZ, focusing on Cell Therapy. Chaired by Researcher Dengfeng Zhang, Professor Bo Peng (Fudan University)
presented "Microglia Turnover and Replacement – From Basic Research to Clinical Therapy."
Professor Peng shared breakthroughs in microglia dynamics during aging/disease and novel intervention strategies via microglia replacement/transplantation. Discussions centered on clinical translation potential for neurological disorders. The session facilitated cross-disciplinary collaboration for brain disease treatment innovation. Professor Peng later toured the facility, praising its primate model capabilities and expressing interest in neurodegenerative disease collaborations.
