  • Precise Electromagnetic Structure of Neutron Measured at BESIII
Precise Electromagnetic Structure of Neutron Measured at BESIII
The BESIII collaboration has presented measurements of the neutron's electromagnetic (EM) structure in the time-like region with unprecedented precision. The new BESIII results clarify the photon–nucleon interaction puzzle that has persisted for over 20 years, and a surprising periodic structure has been observed for the nucleon effective form factors. The manuscript is featured on the cover of the Nov. 8 issue of Nature Physics.

Study Reveals Fullerenol Nanoparticles Induce Calreticulin Exposure to Trigger Robust Anti-tumor Immunity
Prof. XING Gengmei's research team from the Institute of High Energy Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences recently reported that fullerenol nanoparticles could be used as a safe calreticulin (CRT) exposure inducer to boost the anti-tumor immune efficiency of anti-CD47 monoclonal antibodies (mAbs). The study, entitled “Fullerenols boosting the therapeutic effect of anti-CD47 antibody to trigger robust anti-tumor immunity by inducing calreticulin exposure,”was published in Nano Today.

1,056 Seconds, another world record for EAST
1,056 seconds, a new pulse length world record for high temperature tokamak plasma has been achieved on the "artificial sun" in Institute of Plasma Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (ASIPP). On December 30, the experimental advanced superconducting tokamak (EAST) set this milestone of tokamak operation for longer than 1,000 seconds by the end of 2021.
