Full-Temperature Pressurized Single-Can Full-Scale Combustor Test Rig(CC-02)

Apr 09, 2026

CC-02 full-temperature pressurized single-can full-scale combustor test rig serves as a key R&D platform for the iterative optimization of combustor design. It primarily focuses on investigating critical characteristics of a pressurized, full-temperature, single-can, full-scale combustor, including air flow distribution, total pressure loss, atomization, wall temperature, pollutant formation, flashback/extinction, and combustion stability. Additionally, it studies essential features of full-scale unit nozzles, such as fuel-air mixing and spray characteristics. The bench is used to obtain combustor performance data, including ignition characteristics, fuel-switching capability, fuel flexibility, and off-design operation characteristics, achieving a Technology Readiness Level (TRL) of 3~4.

The CC-02 test bench comprises two test positions, CC-02A and CC-02B, the following experiments can be conducted:

·Nozzle/Burner Fuel-Air Mixing Characteristics Tests

·Nozzle/Burner Fuel Spray Characteristics Tests

·Nozzle/Burner Flow Rate Characteristics Tests

·Single-Can Full-Scale Combustor Ignition Tests

·Single-Can Full-Scale Combustor Fuel Switching Tests

·Full-Temperature Pressurized Single-Can Full-Scale Combustor Fuel Flexibility Tests

·Full-Temperature Pressurized Single-Can Full-Scale Combustor Scaled-Model Performance Tests

Two full-temperature, high-pressure performance tests have been conducted on the CC-02 test rig, including the National Science and Technology Major Project IGCC coal-based gas single-can combustor test and the HAT natural gas single-can combustor test.
