The High-Efficiency and Low-Carbon Gas Turbine Research Facility is China’s sole large-scale scientific research facility in the fossil energy sector to date. It comprises three core components (compressor, turbine, and combustion chamber), their corresponding power cycle test rigs, and a sophisticated high-precision measurement system. This facility provides essential research tools for investigating the characteristics of gas turbine components and systems, and offers technical and infrastructural support for the advancement of gas turbine technology and industry. The project legal entity is the Institute of Engineering Thermophysics, with construction sites located in Lianyungang City, Jiangsu Province, and Pudong New Area, Shanghai.
